The Carolina Cardinal Camping Club was formed in 1969 and one charter family still camps with the club.

The club camps 8 months of the year (March through October) on Tuesday thru Thursday (the third Thursday of the month). One family is responsible for hosting the campouts. The campouts are usually within 100 miles of Concord. The four winter months are eating-meetings at area restaurants.
